About

During the early days of my career, my art served as a powerful tool for delving into deep and meaningful topics. I utilized a diverse array of materials, including earth, hair, found objects, plaster body casting, text, and photography, to create an interactive experience that engaged viewers beyond mere visual observation. This multidimensional approach infused my work with life and invited a deeper connection.

As my practice evolved, I gravitated towards abstract expressionism, immersing myself in the exploration of colour and movement. This period marked a shift towards a more intuitive painting style, where the spontaneity of brushstrokes and the vibrancy of hues became central to my artistic expression.

The onset of the pandemic prompted another transformation in my work. Amid feelings of uncertainty and a quest to rediscover my artistic voice, I turned to nature for solace and inspiration. Long walks immersed in the natural world rekindled my curiosity, drawing me to the movement, shapes, and colours of the landscape. This experience led to a dedicated sketchbook practice, where I began experimenting with colour mixing, collage, and mark-making, striving to capture the essence of my surroundings. This new phase represents a fusion of my past explorations with a fresh, nature-inspired perspective, continuing my journey of artistic discovery and expression.
